“ We saw an ad for this place in the MenuMag we got from the lobby at the place we were staying. I checked to see about making reservations the first night but it said the wait was about 3 hours the first night so I made reservations for the next night. We got here a little early and people were already lined up before the restaurant opened. I knew we had a table since we had reservations and we were seated quickly and the bread with oil and Parmesan cheese was delicious. The girls order kids fettuccine Alfredo and cheese ravioli with Alfredo. My husband and I ordered the same pappardelle all’aragosta. Everything was amazing and tasted very fresh. Afterward we ordered the lemoncello cake and a cannoli. The cannoli was still crispy and yummy. Our server was nice and joked around with us and the ambiance was great. This would be a place I would pick for my birthday dinner if we lived here. Sadly we do not, but we will put it on our list of places to be sure to go to whenever we are down in Destin again. ”
“ You know usually when you see 5 star reviews you wonder if the owner or staff wrote it. Well this is a legit one from a Canadian visiting Destin. Where ever your from....if you have a great little Italian place you love.....this place will be yer fave while your in Destin. Chris the manager was friendly and even recommended another place at our next destination . Food was outstanding. Service was top notch. “ Mimmo’s is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at in my whole life. The food is fresh with rich taste profiles. Our server, Dennis, was very attentive and his suggestions worked very well with what we hoped for in our dishes. The wine options worked very well with our entrees with nice options. The only thing I was disappointed by was the house wine was a California and not an Italian wine. The olive oil that was served with the bread was robust and delicious. The decorations and feel of the restaurant was a pleasure to dine at. There’s outdoor seating, however this place sits on a busy road and the traffic noise would take away from the experience, so I’d recommend dining indoors. ”
